At a flea market found an engraving of dürer
The engraving of the virgin Mary, crowned by an angel," as it turned out, disappeared from the Museum in Stuttgart during the Second world war
Archaeologist retired noticed this engraving on one of the flea markets in the city of Sarrebourg in Eastern France. His instincts did not disappoint: purchased for a few euros the engraving was the work of Albrecht dürer. However, the buyer noticed her seal of the State gallery of Stuttgart, after which he decided to voluntarily return to the engraving in the Museum. For this, he personally came with his wife in Stuttgart.
As it turned out, copper engraving, 1520 was missing from State gallery of Stuttgart since the end of world war II. At the flea market in Sarrebourg it came from the collection of the former Deputy mayor of Sarrebourg, selling things from his home. Engraving in good condition — via-видимому, all these years, she had carefully kept. Now in the Museum decide how best to represent "the virgin crowned by an angel," in the exposition.
