Most of the money (15.8 million pounds) has allocated the UK National Lottery (Heritage Lottery Fund). Arts Foundation gave an additional 1 million pounds. The Foundation also helped financially Manton (established by Edwin Manton, a long-time collector of works of Constable) and the members of the Board of Trustees of the Tate. Buying a place in the partner program of five national and regional galleries: Tate Gallery, the National Museum of Wales «Amgueddfa Cymru», the National Gallery of Scotland, Ipswich Museum and the Museum of Salisbury.
