Today begins the VI Festival of Contemporary Art Collection
Today, the five exhibition venues of Moscow opened an annual festival of contemporary art collections.
Today, August 1, 2012, five exhibition venues of Moscow State Center of Contemporary Arts (NCCA) opens the VI Festival of contemporary art collections, which runs until October 17.
The festival is private, corporate and public collection of contemporary art, collectors demonstrate a personal opinion on current art practices, and provides a rare opportunity to see works by famous artists from private collections and museums of reservists who are not often shown to the public.
In five years, the festival were shown a collection of the museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno», Kolodzei Art Foundation, Center for Culture and Arts MediaArtLab, Igor Markin, Valerie Dudakova, Maxim Boxer, Boris Fridman, Mikhail Alshibaya, Vadim Zakharov , Vladimir Moroz, Borys Isayenko, German Titov, Eugenia Semenova and others.
This year the festival will open an exhibition « Agulis », dedicated to the works of the artist . The centerpiece of the exposition is pictorial and graphic works by Gayane Khachaturian different periods. Also represented in the project photoexposition known theatrical photographer Victor Bazhenov, dedicated creative relationship with the filmmakers Gayane Sergei Parajanov , Federico Fellini and Andrei Tarkovsky. A special place in the exhibition is a visual-acoustic installation "Agulis" created by the artist Vladimir Smolar and composer Vladimir Martynov.
idea of the relevance of popular culture in our society will be represented at the exhibition « The traditions of folklore and contemporary culture in the naive », which will be held at the museum-reserve" Tsarina ". The exhibition consists of works from the collection of primarily NCCA, as well as contemporary art galleries and private collections.
Exhibition « Belarus - Young Contemporary Art » is dedicated to young independent artists from Belarus. The exhibition « Behind the Iron Curtain. Official and independent art of the Soviet Union and Poland, 1945-1989 », which opens August 22 at the Russian Museum of Decorative and Applied Art, will feature paintings, drawings and sculpture by Russian and Polish artists from the collection of the creator of the Foundation of Polish contemporary art Peter Nowicki, covering the period from 1945 to 1989. The exhibition is an example of "problem presentation" collection when on the basis of the collected material is the artistic interpretation of the political, social and artistic processes in the life of both countries for fifty years after the war.
The festival display of works from the collection of Nadi Brykina whose kernel is the art of the sixties. The exhibition will feature the work of Marlene P.
