The private museum specimens found north letters created in XVI - XVII centuries

According to the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry GUUR, published December 19, 2011, officers of the Criminal Investigation Ministry of Interior of Russia jointly with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Vologda region found the icon, stolen 27 years ago from the State Historical Velikoustyuzhskogo and Architectural Museum-Reserve.

by the theft of ten icons of Velikoustyuzhskogo Museum in 1984 was prosecuted under Article 89 of the RSFSR Criminal Code, "Misappropriation of state or public property, committed by theft." However, to detect traces of stolen art did not succeed.

In October of this year, detectives received information that all ten of stolen icons displayed on the website of one of the private museums of Moscow.
