In the Swedish city of Malmo verdict three persons involved in the case of the theft of three paintings, among which was the work of Edvard Munch (Edvard Munch). The works belong to local art museum, who learned about the loss already after the paintings were (accidentally) discovered by the police.
Munch painting, written in 1913, called "Two Friends" and depicts two frolicking dogs. Its estimated cost is 1,5 million dollars. Together with her were stolen works of Swedish artist Gustaf Rudberga (Gustaf Rydberg) and Pera Sigarda (Paer Siegaard). The works were removed from the museum store.
One participant robbery was sentenced to six months in prison, another was fined, and the third got probation. They also have to pay compensation amounting to 33 thousand euros (4.8 thousand dollars).
Representatives of the Art Museum of Malmo say that after this incident, their museum at the center of public attention, and this helped them raise funds to enhance security measures.
