In San Francisco will be a giant many-armed Buddha
The new draft of Chinese artist Zhang Huang
May 12 in San Francisco will be "prime minister" of a new public-art facility - a copper sculpture of the Buddha authorship of the Chinese artist Zhang Хуаня (Zhang Huan, p. 1965). Shestirukaya three headed figure resembles a giant spider. Its height is 8 meters and it weighs 15 tons. Created in 2008, work will put in front of City Hall.
Today copper Buddha is the largest creature Zhang Juan. Monumentality of the artist is not a stranger: in its exhibitions in the gallery PaceWildenstein exhibited enormous ash paintings and 4,6 m high statue of a sleeping giant, made from cow hides, steel, wood and foam. A famous Zhang thanks to its dramatic performance.
