"Event Horizon" by Antony Gormley will go to New York

For 59-year-old Gormley it will be the first project of public art in New York. Best-known work of the artist, of course, is the 20-meter "Angel of the North", which is located in the English town of Gateshead. This summer, Gormley honor to create the installation for the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square Fourth . The sculptor did a very original way: made a lottery, the winners of which were able to hold on a pedestal for one hour. Results in the project, which lasted 100 days, attended by 2.4 thousand people. A request filed by 35 thousand.
