Graffiti, «unauthorized» drawings and inscriptions on the walls, were known already in deep antiquity. But the contemporary street art graffiti appeared only in 60-e years of the twentieth century. There is every reason to speak of a separate subculture. In doing so, it distinguishes a particular openness and interactivity that makes graffiti a key phenomenon of the global urban civilization. Graffiti has long been the focus of philosophical and cultural reflexes. Of particular interest is a constant interchange between graffiti art and institutionalized.
