Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam for the first time in its existence, produced a DVD with a two-documentaries on the life and work of Van Gogh, entitled «Vincent van Gogh: the life devoted to the art». Filmmakers who worked on it for about two years, the artist was able to show the way his audience has never seen.

This educational film is composed of five parts and tells about the childhood years of Van Gogh, which he held in Brabant, and his studies in Belgium and Holland, the creative maturity in Paris, on the peak of his artistic career in the south France and, finally, about the last months of life in Auvers-sur-Oise. Experts from the Museum Van Gogh tried to show what the artist drew inspiration from sources as well as to convey his strong desire to become a contemporary artist. DVD includes his paintings and drawings, as well as a unique survey at all locations in Europe, where he lived and worked as the Van Gogh. In addition to the disk recorded interviews with family members, artists, as well as a 15-minute story about two of the world's largest collections of his works: the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and Kreller-Muller Museum in Otterlo.
