Today, on 2 June in Brussels opened a new museum dedicated to works of famous artist and surrealist Rene Magritte (René Magritte). It is located in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Belgium, in an area of 2.5 thousand square meters. On display are more than 200 works by the author - is the largest collection in the world. Among the exhibits - paintings, gouaches, drawings, posters, old photographs, musical scores, and even movies.

The collection covers all periods of art masters. Earlier work established prior to 1930 are presented on the third floor of the museum. Here you can see posters and wallpaper designs for the factory, Peter Lacroix, where the artist worked from 1922 to 1926, paintings, written under the influence of Giorgio de Chirico (Giorgio de Chirico), photographs, as well as the famous Magritte painting with the words (including Series «treachery of images »).

the second-floor exhibition covers the period from 1930 to 1950. It includes posters, on which the artist worked, somehow to make ends meet after his return from Paris to Brussels, a few options for the painting «Black Magic» the preparatory sketches, as well as a series of posters showing sympathy for the Communist Party of Magritte.

The first floor presents works created over the past 15 years of life master, when he received worldwide recognition and was able to finally forget about the financial difficulties. During this period, he often wrote the copy or version of the earlier paintings and gouaches, but that did not impact negatively on their quality. Even on the contrary, some of them can be described as a whole and complete.
