François Pinault in Venice will open a new museum
As reported by Agence-France-Presse, the owner of the auction house Christie's billionaire Francois Pinault (FrançoisPinault) opens in Venice a new Museum of Modern Art. The museum will be located in the building of the Maritime Customs - Dogan di Mare.
In Venice already has a museum, François Pinault, who is in the Palazzo Grassi. But a collection of French tycoon is so enormous that one building is missing. Maritime Pinot rented office in 2007. He had to fight for it with the Guggenheim Foundation, which also had excellent views of the building. Reconstruction of the Maritime Customs was a famous architect Tadao Ando (Tadao Ando).
The first exhibition in the new museum will open June 6. There will be works of contemporary artists from the billionaire.
This year, Francois Pinault will turn 73 years. Forbes magazine valued his condition at 16.9 billion dollars and put it on the 39 th place in the list of richest people in the world. Last year, the magazine ArtNews included it in the list of Top-10 of the main collectors of works of art in the world .
