According to the Associated Press, a few days ago Spanish police seized numerous works of Salvador Dali (SalvadorDalí), which should have been put up for sale in the town of Estepona in the south. Those works include sculptures, lithographs, engravings, silverware and textiles - a total of 81. Most works - forgery. Only 12 works are probably the originals, stolen in Belgium, France and the United States. The items recorded in the Interpol database.
Police managed to arrest the offender - a citizen of France, who brought the work to Spain. His identity has not yet been established. Control the order indicated that the Frenchman had planned to sell one of falshivok - sculpture of an elephant more than three meters in height - for 1.2 million euros (1.5 million dollars).
