French museums will be free for young people
Nicolas Sarkozy has announced that from April tour of museums and monuments will be free for those who are less than 25
Recently, French President Nicolas Sarkozy (Nicolas Sarkozy) said that from April 4, 2009 persons who have not attained 25 years, will be able to attend the national museums and monuments to inspect free of charge. Among the French national museums are, in particular, the Louvre Museum and d'Orse. Now, to see the permanent exhibition of the Louvre, adult visitors to lay out a ticket for 9 Euros. Free of charge to the museum can reach those who are less than 18 years, as well as the unemployed, persons with disabilities, teachers, whose subjects are related to art and artists who are members of some French associations.
In his New Year address to the French workers of culture, Sarkozy also announced that France will soon be a historical museum. He said that the museum will be located in the «location, landmark in the history of our country», but did not specify where.
