In Moscow, a law on the privatization of cultural heritage
The Law «On privatization of state property in Moscow» was adopted on Wednesday at a meeting Mosgordumy. This is the agency said.
The Law establishes the procedure for the privatization of cultural heritage sites owned by the city, and gives their owners the duty to restore and preserve the monuments privatized. This duty will be indicated in the security owner's obligation as a «burdens of ownership».
Act sets a maximum limit on the area of privatized space of 100 square meters. The new owners of cultural heritage is given a delay for payment of privatization for a year.
The right to sell subject to the privatization of cultural heritage sites under the provisions of the law may be granted to selected organizations on a competitive basis. Prior to the adoption of the law, this right was stipulated only for the specialized organization for the sale of capital assets.
List of historic buildings, which could be privatized, will be determined Moskomnaslediem. The list will be restricted at the legislative level, the list of facilities not subject to privatization.
