German museum recently received a letter from the two tourists, who visited the museum in Simferopol and saw the painting, long considered lost. These paintings by European artists XVI - XX centuries, including works by Hans Herrmann (Hans Herrmann), Johann Gottfried Puliana (Johann Gottfried Pulian) and Gregor von Bohmanna (Gregor von Bochmann). Curator Suermont-Ludwig Heinrich Becker (Heinrich Becker) has reviewed a video made by tourists, and concluded that a minimum of 9 paintings represented in the museum of Simferopol, previously belonged to his museum. Six more pictures «high probability» have also been removed from Aachen.

Simferopol Museum Director Larina Kudryashova said that the museum has 87 paintings by artists from the Netherlands, Germany and France, but not all of them included in the collection of Aachen. She is now carefully studying the catalogs of the museums to see what actually works can be considered a trophy. But even if found to be hundred percent proof that the pictures were taken from Germany, to return them in Aachen, no one is going. According to Kudryashova, Ukrainian legislation does not allow to return the trophy pieces. She observes that in Germany also exhibited the work of the Nazis stolen from the collections of Ukrainian and «none of us will not return».

However, the German museum is not very upset. According to Heinrich Becker, most importantly - what they now know exactly that the pictures intact. Nevertheless, Germany's Foreign Ministry does is going to take steps to ensure that the trophy returned to work in Aachen.
