Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stands for the transfer of cultural heritage sites to private investors, Interfax reported.

Premier recalled that in 2009 the state will continue to finance a large number of objects of cultural heritage not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg but also in many other regions. Among these objects are, inter alia, the Bolshoi and the Mariinsky Theater. «We have decided, and you could not see this in the budget for the Conservation of total funding, much of which had in recent years for the repair of the Bolshoi and the Mariinsky Theater. Initially, it was assumed that these volumes will be lifted, but we decided to save them », - said Prime.
