Taganskiy Moscow court suspended the trial of the organizers of the exhibition «Forbidden Art», as one of the accused, Andrei Erofeev, was hospitalized because of spinal injuries
The trial of the organizers of the exhibition «Forbidden Art» suspended indefinitely by a decision of the court Taganskaya Moscow, said «Interfax». This is done for the defense in the fact that Andrei Erofeev, curator of the project is sick: his spine injury and he is in hospital. The process will resume after recovery Yerofeeva.
Andrei Erofeev, former head of emerging trends in the Tretyakov Gallery, and Yuri Samodurov, former director of the Sakharov Center, where the exhibition «Forbidden Art», indicted on 282 th article of the Criminal Code: incitement to religious hatred by using official position.
Exhibition «Forbidden Art - 2006» was opened in March 2007 in the name of the Sakharov Center. On display are works, previously rejected by museums and galleries. Objects were to hide in falshstenu, minors are not allowed to exhibit. The Orthodox movement «The People's Cathedral» asked Taganskaya interregional prosecutor's office in a statement that the exhibition degrades «the dignity of citizens on the basis of their attitude towards religion».
