Pastel «Portrait of a child» of the XVIII century Swedish artist Alexander Roslyn chistopolskogo stolen from the Museum of the county town. The picture was evaluated in 200 thousand rubles. Reproduction of the material and its origin will be handed over to Interpol, the «Interfax».
Director of the museum Liudmila Baikova discovered the theft on Aug. 19, although the crime happened before - 13 or 14 August. The criminal charges of theft filed, but the suspects in the investigation yet.
Children's portrait of the Roslyn until 1939 had been on the foundations of Kazan State Museum of Tatarstan. The painting was brought to the exhibition in Tchistopol, where she has found the war. Subsequently, she remained in the city museum.
Roslyn Alexander (1718-1793) spent two years in St. Petersburg as court painter. His formal portraits painted by Catherine II, her son - the future Emperor Paul I, the Russian tsaredvortsev and maid of honor. Total in Russia, he wrote about a hundred works, most famous of which is stored in the State Hermitage.
