Yuri Samodurov , Director of the Museum and Public Center of Andrei Sakharov, resigned from his post at their own request. This, he told the radio station «Freedom » . Among the reasons for the resignation he cited differences with the museum trustees and the lack of funding.

July 30, it became known that the founders of the museum refused to exhibitions like «Forbidden Art-2006». Yuri Samodurov and Andrei Erofeev , the curator of this exhibition , charged under Art. 282 Criminal Code - «incitement to racial, ethnic and religious hatred using the official position». At the exhibition «Forbidden Art-2006» were shown items rejected by other museums and galleries, fear of charges of inciting religious hatred. All the items were hidden behind falshstenu and visitors warned beforehand that the exhibition can injure someone's feelings.

Yuri Samodurova already admitted guilty of inciting national and religious hatred in 2005. Then the subject of litigation was the exhibition «Caution, Religion», defeated in 2003, members of the Public Committee «For moral revival of the Motherland». At that time Samodurova and employee of the Sakharov Center Ludmila Vasilovskuyu was sentenced to a fine of 100 thousand rubles.
