The Russian government has approved the application the Ministry of Culture of an increase in funding the sector
Government of the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture has approved a request to increase the financing industry. According to the «Time News», in 2010, will receive an additional 14.9 billion rubles in 2011 - 21.5 billion. The cultural budget for 2009 amounts to 113.9 billion rubles. According to the newspaper, this amount exceeds 20 per cent of the budget in 2008.
Additional funds (14.9 and 21.5 billion rubles) to be used for grants, restoration of old and new buildings.
