According to founder Chris Carlson and Justin William, Saatchi will become a consultant to hedge fund transactions in modern art. Charles Saatchi was famous in the 1980's as the most successful British (and later the world) gallery, dealing with promotion of modern art in Britain. In 1990 Saatchi systematically supported a group of young British artists, turning them into fashionable and very popular during the (Young British Artists, YBA). Among these artists Damien Hurst, the most successful and highly paid ones. In 2005, Saatchi managed to sell one of Hirst (shark in an aquarium with formalin) for 8 million New York financier Stephen Cohen. Since the mid 2000-ies Saatchi is actively promoting a new American art and young artists from India and China.

His task in the Art Trading Fund will be selected works of contemporary Western artists, as well as identifying prospective names on developing art-markets of China, India and the Middle East. As it turned out, first, Charles Saatchi has entered into negotiations with the Fund on the possibility of partnerships, inviting him to become a regular client of his new gallery, which will soon open in London. In response, management proposed the Art Trading Fund gallery project of bilateral cooperation. For advice on the prospects for entry into new markets fund Saatchi will receive interest from fund further deals. Draft agreement on cooperation was signed in April.
