Rauschenberg, born in Texas, was one of the pioneers of the new currents, which came to replace the abstract expressionism - Pop Art, Conceptualism, procedural skills. He was famous for his experiments with mixed media: for example, one of his famous works, «Canyon», was a stuffed white eagle, attached to the canvas, but the object «Postel» consisted of blankets, sheets and pillows, izmazannyh red and prisoners in the frame .
He has worked with representatives from other areas in the arts, including the composer John Cage and choreographer Mersey Cunningham,
Among his awards were the Grand Prix Award and the Venice Biennale «Grammy». Rauschenberg works are stored in all the world's largest collections of contemporary art.
