31 March 2008, in a remote part of Scotland, was found dead 41-year-old British artist and sculptor Engus Feyrherst. According to police, the artist committed suicide Saturday, the last day of the third personal exhibition, which ended in a London gallery Sadie Coles HQ.

Engus Feyrherst along with Damien Hurst, Tracey Emin and Sarah Lucas was one of the founders of the group YBA (Young British Artists - Young British Artists), or the Brit Art, widely known after the famous exhibition of Charles Saatchi Gallery in London in 1992. Three members of the group, Feyrherst, Lukas and Hurst, learned during the training at London's Goldsmiths College and throughout the subsequent years of friendly relations and conduct joint exhibitions. In particular, Feyrherst along with Hurst participated in exhibitions «Apocalypse» at the Royal Academy of Arts and In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida in 2004 in the British Gallery of Contemporary Art Tate Modern.

The best-known work Feyrhersta called A Couple of Differences Between Thinking and Feeling ( «A couple of differences between the thoughts and feelings»). This was a large statue of gorillas, stared at his own torn off the front leg. This sculpture was exhibited in the main gallery of Tate Modern in 2004.
