from a family servant. Graduated Slobodskoe real school. Studied in MUZHVZ in NA Kasatkin, A. Arkhipov, Korovin, graduated in 1916 with the title of the artist's painting "Bather».

lived in the Sloboda (1917-1923), Moscow (1923). Organized in Slobodskom museum and popular art studio, where he taught drawing. He taught graphic arts in the military officers' school in Moscow (from 1923).

worked as a landscape painter, portraitist, he painted on the theme of Soviet life (holidays, sporting events), the industrial theme, scenes from the history of revolution and civil war. Repeatedly went to the creative business for the country. Member (since 1923) and exponential AHRR - AChRs (1924-1929). Participated in exhibition of the Society of Artists of the Moscow school, the Moscow Association of Artists (both - 1924), works of art for the 10-year anniversary of the October Revolution (1928), "The Red Army in Soviet art" (1930), "Socialist construction in the visual arts" ( 1931), «XV years, the Red Army" (1933) in Moscow, "Artists of the RSFSR XV years in Leningrad and Moscow (1932-1934), an international poster exhibition in Liege (1932) and others.
