he Studied at the Kyiv drawing school (1876-1880) Н. И. Мурашко. Probably, for some time he attended classes at the Imperial Academy of arts in Petersburg and Munich Academy of arts.

he Lived in Kiev. He painted mainly landscapes. Author of painting works: "Autumn" (1886; was purchased П. М. Третьяковым), "the Monastery" (1886), "Bessarabia", "Morning" (both — 1887), Cemetery (1888), "Morning on the river" (1892), "Ukrainian house" (1900), "glade" (1912) and others.

From 1885 — participated in exhibitions. Member of the society of South Russian artists (1890-1896, with breaks). Also exhibited at exhibitions TPHV (1885-1888), Moscow society of art lovers (1889), Kiev Union of artists (1915), Kiev Association of artists (1917) and others.

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the National Museum of fine arts of Ukraine in Kiev.
