Olga Malyutina was a daughter of academician of painting S. V. Malyutin. She began to study painting and drawing under the guidance of her father.

Malyutina lived in Moscow. She painted landscapes, still lifes, genre compositions; she was also engaged in painting of pieces of furniture. The artist participated in the exhibitions of the Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (TPKhV) in 1910s and in 1922, and in the exhibitions of the group Mir Iskusstva (“World of Art”) in 1910s and in 1921. Malyutina was a member of the Union of Russian Artists (SRKh) since 1921; she took part in the exhibitions of the Union in 1922–1923. She was one of the founders of the Association of realist painters (OKhR) in 1927–1928. Works by the painter were shown at the 2nd State Exhibition of Painting (1919), the First travelling exhibition of painting and drawing (1929), the exhibition Socialist Construction in Soviet Art in Moscow (1930), Artistic and handicraft exhibition of the USSR (1929) in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit and others. The personal exhibitions of the artist were held in Moscow in 1957 and in 1969.

Works by Olga Malyutina are in several regional museums, including Sochi Art Museum, Pereslavl-Zalessky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-reserve.
