born in the family of the famous sculptor, Academician M. Mikeshin. Systematic arts education is not received. Since 1893 worked as a bank clerk. Since 1904 began to develop their own technique of sculpting wax and clay. In the same year he was awarded first prize in the competition project of the monument "the Russian soldiers who fell gallantly in the storming of the fortress of Kars (open in 1910, not preserved). In 1908 he won first prize in the academic competition projects monument adjutant-general KP Kaufman for Tashkent (opened in 1913, has not survived), in 1910 - the first prize of PS Stroganov for Competition for the Society for the Encouragement of Arts sculpture group "Before abroad". Created monuments, busts Lermontov in Pyatigorsk in the place of death of the poet (1915) and Petersburg (1916). Performed the gravestone of his father at St. Nicholas Cemetery in St. Petersburg (1912-1916). Participated in the sculptural decoration of the temple of the Savior on the waters in memory of sailors who perished in the Russian-Japanese war.

In 1921 he emigrated. Lived in Finland, in 1924 settled in the United States, where he acquired a farm in Koldenheyme, near Newburgh (New York). Continued to sculpture and participate in exhibitions.
