SUHOROVSKY Marceli Gavrilivich
Painter, graphic artist
Biographical details are scarce. In 1858-1868 he studied at the IAH. In 1863 and 1865, was awarded two silver medals for small studies, in 1866 - a large silver medal for drawing. In 1868 he graduated from the course with the title of class artist of the 3rd degree.
worked as a portraitist. In 1872 he was awarded the title of class artist 1-th degree for the portrait of Mrs. Rappoport. In 1874 elected an academician of the portrait of Princess Golitsyn and other works. In addition to portraits, created images of naked in the cabin spirit ( "Captive in a Harem", "Nana", "daydream", "In captivity »).
participated in exhibitions in the Hall of IAH, has exhibited his work at the World Exhibition in Vienna (1873).
from 1902 led own courses of drawing in St. Petersburg.
