In 1915-1918 he studied at the Kiev Art School, in 1920-1921 - in Petrograd VHUTEMAS in NI Altman and Matveev, 1921 -1925 - in Moscow at VHUTEMAS LS Popova, AD Drevin and AV Shevchenko.

In 1918, together with other artists took part in a festive design of Smolensk to the first anniversary of the October Revolution. For the first time exhibited his works at the 2 nd exhibition Smolensky Society of Artists in 1919. During the Civil War, worked in the "Windows of satire and Growth" Revolutionary Military Council of the Western Front, engaged in registration of agitation trains. He participated in exhibitions in the USSR and abroad, including in all the exhibitions of "Thirteen". In 1927 he created together with Charles K. Stefano literary and artistic handwriting Almanac "Bedlam».

worked mainly as a landscape painter, creating an intimate, lyrical works in the spirit of "quiet" art. Repeatedly made creative travel around the country: traveled to the Urals, the North, Ukraine, Crimea, Volga and Kama rivers. Book illustrations. Supervised in Smolensk Proletkult art studio and taught drawing in the schools.

In 1960 organized a Children's art room № 1 of the Leningrad region of Moscow. In 1961 at the Art Gallery of Smolensk State Museum-Reserve held personal exhibition. In 1970 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

In 1981, lost his sight, the work of the late period established blindly.

In 2003 in the gallery "Ark" was a joint exhibition of works Rybchenkova and Stefano "The sense of time».

Rybchenkova works are in many museum and private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin, the State Pushkin Museum, Museum of History of Moscow, Smolensk State historical architectural and art museum-reserve and others.
