ENDOGUROV Ivan

son of Rear-Admiral JS Endogurova; brother watercolorist SI Endogurova. In 1880-1882 he attended lectures at the Faculty of St. Petersburg University. In early 1880 he took private lessons in painting in E. Volkova. In 1884-1885 was a volunteer IAH. In 1885, for the painting "Early Spring", presented at the next academic exhibition, was awarded the Medal of low incentive. In 1890 received a great incentive medal.

lived in St. Petersburg since the end of 1880 due to illness most of the time spent in the Crimea, Ukraine and the Caucasus. In 1890-1893 he lived in Italy. Traveled to Norway (1890, 1895), France (1893). He worked as a landscape, seascape, turned to the technique of watercolor. In his work has continued the tradition of Russian lyrical landscape.

Participated in academic exhibitions (1885, 1890), Society for the Encouragement of Arts exhibitions (1886, 1889), TPHV (1886-1898, since 1895 - Member of the Association), the World Exhibitions in Paris (1889, awarded a silver medal) and Chicago (1893), an international exhibition in Berlin (1891). In 1886 the Eurovision Society for the Promotion of Arts was awarded a silver medal for landscape "The brook».

in 1898 in the halls of IAH held posthumous exhibition Endogurova (together with Ivan Shishkin and NAJaroshenko). In 1899, the means of the artist's mother, MF Andreeva, established an award named after the brothers SI and I. Endogurovyh "worthy of landscape", which ran the course of the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Academy (award existed until 1917).

Endogurova works are in several museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery and others.
