place of the bourgeois or merchant class; hereditary honorary citizen of Moscow. In 1890 he studied at MUZHVZ have VD Polenov and I. Levitan, in late 1890 - early 1900's, attended college FI Rerberg .

lived in Moscow. I created songs from the Gospels; turned to the technique of watercolor. Since 1907 he participated in exhibitions of the Moscow Association of Artists (until 1911, with interruptions). In 1918, exhibited his work at an exhibition of paintings, sculptures and art industry in Ryazan. He gave private lessons in drawing and watercolor.

in 2007 in the exhibition halls of the Temple of Christ the Savior was a retrospective exhibition of the artist.

works are represented in several museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin, Odessa Art Museum and others.
