born in the family of a watchmaker, the artist's father AK Beggrova. Original art education was, apparently, in Riga, worked in a lithographic workshop of his older brother IA Beggrova. In 1818-1821 he studied at the IAH in MN Vorobyov.

Selected species, palace interiors, turned to domestic and portrait genre. Many worked as a watercolorist. One of the first in Russia began to study lithography; fulfilled orders Society for the Promotion of artists. In 1820-30's produced several lithographic albums: "The album of lithographs of 1820" (St. Petersburg, 1820), "The people living between the Caspian and Black Seas" (St. Petersburg, 1822), "Types of St. Petersburg and its environs" (St. Petersburg ., 1821-1826), "Hawkers" (St. Petersburg, 1834). Created lithographed portraits of Emperors Alexander I and Nicholas I, FN Glinka, A. Kh Vostokova, IA Dmitrevsky.

From 1825 served in the post of scientist lithographer the Directorate General of Communications and public buildings. In 1828 and 1834 participated in the creation of decorative painting of walls and ceilings in the Winter Palace in the halls of the Big (Old) Hermitage. In 1831, "According to his various works" was recognized as "designated" in academics. In 1832, a gouache "View of the Mikhailovsky Palace," was awarded the title of academician.

Since mid-1830's work as a lithographer Beggrova markedly reduced, and from that period, the artist worked primarily in the techniques of drawing and watercolor. Performed a series of graphic albums with views of St. Petersburg, an album of watercolors "Types of Finland" (1857).

was buried at the Smolensk Lutheran Cemetery in St. Petersburg (the tomb was not preserved).   Artworks Beggrova are in many museum collections, among them - the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum, State Hermitage, the Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin and others.
