SAPOZHNIKOV Alexei
Painter, graphic artist
studied at the Penza Art School (graduated in 1913), Higher Art in Petrograd D. Kardovsky (graduated in 1923).
lived in Saratov. He painted landscapes, paintings of everyday scenes. He worked in the field of satirical graphics, poster. Since 1917 worked in the magazines "Satyricon", "Lukomorye", newspapers "Saratov news", "Soviet Countryside. During the Civil War, worked in the "Windows of ROST" in Saratov (1919-1921). He illustrated books for the State Publishing House and Uchpedgiz (1925). In 1941-1945 he worked in the "Windows of TASS, and the magazine Frontline humor».
member and exhibitor AHRR (1925, 1926) in Moscow and Leningrad, participant of the exhibition of drawings, paintings, sculptures (1927) in Saratov. He taught at the Saratov Industrial Art College.
works are in several museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery.
