Born into a peasant family. Studied at the Kazan Art School (1896-1902) on scholarship Karsunskogo county zemstvos; continued his education at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH (1902-1911) at the FA Roubaud, J. E . Repin, KA Savitsky. In 1908 he won first prize in the competition for the sketch composition "Falconry". In 1911 he graduated from college with the title of the artist's painting "The tsarist construction of XVII century. In parallel with studies contributed to the satirical journals of the St. Petersburg (1906), carried out the icons for the Cathedral of St. Sampson Strannopriimtsa in St. Petersburg (1908).

lived in Simbirsk and Moscow (since 1923). Create images of historical and social themes, painted landscapes depicting monuments of ancient architecture in the tradition of the Union of Russian Artists ". From 1908 - participant of exhibitions. Member of the exhibitor and the Association of Independent (1910-1917). Participated in the XI International Art Exhibition in Venice (1914). During the First World War (1914-1917) worked as a frontline artist-correspondent.

After the October Revolution created propaganda posters, participated in the creation of dioramas for the Museum of the Revolution in Moscow (1930), World's Fair in New York (1939). A series of sketches on the Leninist places in Simbirsk, as well as a number of paintings on the theme of the Great Patriotic War.

Held a solo exhibition in Simbirsk (1920). Exhibited his works at the 1-st state free exhibition of works of art in Petrograd (1919), 3rd exhibition of artists association. Ilya Repin (1929) and others.

Since 1932 - Member of the USSR Union of Artists.

in 1958 in Ulyanovsk held a retrospective exhibition of the artist.

Dobrynina works are in several museum collections, including the Scientific Research Museum of Russia Academy of Arts, the State Historical Museum, Ulyanovsk Regional art museum, Karsunskom art-museum of local lore and others.
