Studied in MUZHVZ (1914-1917). He lived in Moscow (until 1918, since 1920), Nizhny Novgorod (1918-1919). Member of the Civil War (1919-1920), served in the Red Army. After demobilization until 1926 was in party work.

worked as a landscape, seascape, painted on the theme of Soviet life, portraits. In the first half of 1930 has taken a number of creative assignments in the Crimea, the Caucasus, the Far East.
