Born in a family servant. Studied at the Kazan Art School (1914-1915) by N. Feshin, HN Skornyakova, G. A. Medvedev. Some time working as a teacher of drawing.

lived in Kazan, in 1921 - in Tashkent, in 1922 - in Moscow. In 1922 he married the artist P. Kotova. Painted landscapes, portraits, still lifes, paintings on the theme of Soviet life.

Since 1922 - Member and exhibitor AHRR (participated in exhibitions 1926, 1928, 1929). Participated in the second traveling exhibition Narcompros (Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Sverdlovsk, Perm, Ufa, Samara, Saratov, Penza, 1930). Since 1932 - Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR; exponential many union and regional exhibitions. In 1939 the exhibition of women artists was awarded first prize for painting "The Calling».

During the Great Patriotic War, was evacuated in Penza (1941-1943), where she and her husband organized the issue of windows TASS ».
