Parallel classes in Saint-Петербургском University. Participant of the First world war.

he Lived in Petrograd (Leningrad). Was engaged in easel and book graphics; worked in watercolour, etching, woodcuts, linocuts, monotypes. Drew for the magazine "Worker and peasant" (1925-1927), the newspaper "Leningrad sparks" (1920-е). Completed the design of children's books-картинок: "Toys-самоделки" (1929), "the Puzzle" (1930).

Author of several paintings: "balagha" (1910-е), "Winter" (1925), "the Shooting of workers at the Police bridge 9 января 1905 года" (1933), "1 Мая in the Karelian village" (1935), "the Miners" (1930-е).

In 1920-30-е worked in theaters in Leningrad, he performed sketches of costumes; sketches painting porcelain for the State (Leningrad) porcelain factory, in particular for a series of commemorative plates "on the death В. И. Ленина".

during the great Patriotic war remained in the besieged Leningrad. After the liberation of Pavlovsk was engaged in organizational work on fixing the destroyed monuments, made a series of "Views of Pavlovsk 1944-1953 годов" (watercolor, pencil, oil, etching). Participated in the restoration of the Pavlovsk ensemble, monuments of monumental painting of Novgorod.

From 1913 — participated in exhibitions. Member LOSCH (XLP). Party traveling exhibition of Soviet art in the USA (1924-1925).

he Taught at the Petrograd (Leningrad): the School of folk art (to 1917), the College of handicraft industries (1920-1923), secondary schools (1924-1934), Leningrad art-педагогическом College — Leningrad art school (1934-1956); among students — В. М. Звонцов, В. С. Вильнер, Б. В. Корнеев, Б. М. Стародубцев.

Memorial solo exhibitions were held in Pavlovsk (1961), Moscow (2008).
