he Studied in private studios; Art school М. Д. Бернштейна and Л. В. Шервуда in St. Petersburg (1910-1912); at Petrograd state free art-учебных studios (1918-1921), workshop А. Т. Матвеева.

he Lived in Petrograd (Leningrad). Worked in the field of easel sculpture; carried portraits, thematic compositions. In 1924 he received from the people's Commissariat of foreign trip; visited in Italy. The author of the songs: "the February revolution" (early 1920-х), "Model" (1926), "Seated woman", "On guard" and other. In 1930-х was subjected to charges of formalism. In 1950-х was involved in the restoration of the suburbs of Leningrad; recreated the statue of "Neva" Ф. Ф. Щедрина for the Grand cascade of Peterhof.

Since 1923 — participant of exhibitions (Petrograd artists of all directions in Petrograd). Member of the associations: ORS (1925), EAST (1926, 1927, 1928). Participated in exhibitions: art works for 10-летнему the anniversary of the October revolution (1928), "XV years of the red army" (1933), the all-Union exhibition of young artists dedicated to the 20-летию the Komsomol (1939), all-Union art exhibitions (1939 — "industry of socialism", 1949), a "40 лет Armed forces" (1958) in Moscow; "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" (1932), works by Leningrad artists (1935, 1947, 1950, 1951, 1957) in Leningrad; of works by Leningrad artists in Alma-Ате (1938), Chelyabinsk (1948). The participant of many international exhibitions, including the XIV and the XVIII international exhibitions of art in Venice (1924, 1932), international exhibition art-декоративных arts in Paris (1925), Soviet art in Copenhagen (1933). A member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

he Taught at the Leningrad higher arts and crafts-промышленном school (1940-50-е).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the State Tretyakov gallery, the State Russian Museum, State Central Museum of contemporary history of Russia.
