he Studied at the art school in Libau (1912-1914). Worked as an engraver at a factory in Libava. In all likelihood, some time he studied under the guidance of the Finnish painter В. Вестерхолма. Participant of First world and Civil wars; served in Finland and Petrograd. In 1924 демобилизовался.

he Lived in Krasnoyarsk (1924). The author of the scenery: "Evening" (1928), "the Raising of virgin lands" (1938), "Field camp" (1938), "Yenisei" (1943), "Shushenskoye" (1946), "Harvesting of barley" (1949), "On the Yenisei" (1956), "River Biryusa" (1960), "River station" (1963), "the Construction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station" (1964), "Shushenskoe. The old mill" (1966). During the great Patriotic war he participated in the creation of campaign posters.

Completed the outside painting of the State Museum of the Yenisei region (the Krasnoyarsk local history Museum; 1929-1930), painting ceilings Krasnoyarsk river station (1952, together with Е. С. Кобытевым). Participated in the creation of the memorial Museum "Siberian exile В. И. Ленина" in the village of Shushenskoye (1930).

From 1924 — participated in exhibitions. Member of society "New Siberia", member of the USSR Union of artists (from 1932). Participated in exhibitions: 1-й all-Siberian exhibition of painting, sculpture, graphics and architecture (1927), paintings by the group of Krasnoyarsk artists (1928, 1929), the "Great Patriotic war" (1941-1942, mobile), Regional art exhibitions (1944, 1945, 1946, 1948, 1949, 1951, 1955, 1957) in Krasnoyarsk; regional exhibitions of artists of Siberia and the Far East in Irkutsk (1943-1944, 1956); Siberian interregional art exhibition (1947, traveling to cities in Siberia). Personal art exhibition took place in Krasnoyarsk (1968, 1983).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — Krasnoyarsk art Museum. В. И. Сурикова, Krasnoyarsk Museum-выставочный center, Norilsk art gallery.
