In 1924 he defended in the Studio П. В. Кузнецова thesis — sketch for the fresco "the Prodigal son".

He worked in the Collegium on Affairs of museums and protection of monuments of art and antiquities Narcompros (1918-1921); in 1918-1919 by order of the Board directed to Sergiev Posad and Bogorodsk to acquire samples of traditional toys for the toy Museum in Sergiev Posad. Together with Е. Е. Штейнбах-Козловой he wrote the work "Toys of Sergiev Posad" (1919; published: "Panorama of arts". M., 1980, No. 3), created a series of watercolors.

In 1920-е made copies of frescoes of Novgorod churches. In the early 1930-х as part of a team of artists participated in the decoration of the sanatorium "Kaluga Bor". In 1930-40-е worked in the Studio of monumental painting at the Academy of architecture of the USSR; participated in the decoration of facades and interiors of buildings: the city House of pioneers (1935-1936), cinema "Rodina" (1939), a residential building on Prospekt Mira (1945), Gum (1956); in cinemas Kashira, Astrakhan, Makhachkala (1933-1940); the façade of the baths in tsqaltubo (1951).

the Author of landscapes, portraits, still lifes; worked a lot in watercolors. In 1930-50-е worked in the Crimea.

From 1915 — participant of exhibitions (Yaroslavl art society in Yaroslavl). A member and Exhibitor of the Association "Makovec" (1924-1926), mossh (SSH — MOSH). Exhibited: young artists of Moscow (1934), women-художников (1938, 1939, 1960), decorative arts (1955) in Moscow and others.

Work is represented in many Museum collections, among them — of the State Tretyakov gallery, State Russian Museum and others.
