From a family of painters. Studied at the Palekh school of icon painting (1914-1917) И. И. Зубкова. Worked in icon painting workshop Н. М. Сафонова, workshop brothers Belousovich. He continued his education at the Palekh artel of ancient painting (1929-1930) Н. М. Зиновьева. First worked as a copyist; worked on the originals И. И. Голикова, И. М. Баканова, И. П. Вакурова, Д. Н. Буторина. Subsequently, was to create individual compositions on folklore, literature and life scenes. Executed miniatures on papier-маше (caskets, boxes, plates, ornaments): "fishing" (1929), "the stag Hunt" (1929), "Spinner" (1931), "the moose Hunt" (1931), "Soldier on leave" (1932), "the Tale of the Golden Cockerel" (1933), "Storm" (1934), "Caucasus" (1934), "Yegor Bulychov" (1936), "the Plane arrived" (1937), "Pioneer" (1938).

From 1932 — participant of exhibitions ("Art of Palekh" in Moscow). Works exhibited: "15 лет the red army" (1933), exhibition of folk art in the halls of the State Tretyakov gallery (1937), the all-Union exhibition "industry of socialism" (1939) in Moscow; 2-й regional art exhibition "Ivanovo industrial oblast in art" (1936) and others.

he was Buried in Palekh.

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — Ivanovo regional art Museum, State Museum of Palekh art in the village of Palekh, the state Museum of А. С. Пушкина in St. Petersburg, Sergiev-Посадский state historical-художественном Museum-заповедник and others.
