From a family of hereditary don Cossack; younger brother of the artist Vsevolod Voinov. He studied at the Drawing school of the Society for the encouragement of artists (late 1890 — beginning 1900-х) and a private workshop Л. Е. Дмитриева-Кавказского in St. Petersburg.

Lived in St. Petersburg (Petrograd). Worked in the field of easel sculpture; executed portraits and genre scenes. The author of the sculptural works: "Portrait of Eisner", "Laughter, "Thought", "Finn" (all — 1900-е). Engaged in wood carving, he developed designs for furniture. Created a series of wooden children's toys.

was Engaged in easel and applied graphics (ex-libris). Worked with this technique. Created drawings for a book sign А. И. Соколовского, book co-op "Petropolis"; portraits О. Уайльда, Р. Вагнера (both — linocut).

Member of-учредитель Association "Union of youth" (1909). He held his personal exhibition in St. Petersburg (1907). Participated in exhibitions of "Salon" (1909), "Art in a child's life" (1909, large silver medal) in St. Petersburg.

In 1915 ушел a volunteer to the front. Killed in Kiev in 1919.
