From a noble family. Initial art education has received in the Kharkov Institute of noble maidens, where he studied under the guidance Е. И. Волошинова. Later studied painting in the Studio И. К. Айвазовского in Feodosia; Л. Ф. Лагорио in St. Petersburg, as well as the sculpture from М. М. Антокольского and В. А. Беклемишева in St. Petersburg; trained in Germany and Italy.

Lived in St. Petersburg from 1906 — in Finland (according to other sources — in Swan and Rabushka Kharkov province). Performed seascapes, views of St. Petersburg, Ukraine, Finland (oil, watercolor). Created sculptural portraits of Mrozowski (1898), artist Л. Ф. Лагорио (1905), Admiral С. О. Макарова (1905); the song "fruit bat" on the poem Н. В. Гоголя "Dead souls" (1904), "Ivan the terrible" (1906), "Katerina" poem Т. Г. Шевченко (1907), "Demon and Tamara" after the poem М. Ю. Лермонтова "the Demon".

a Member and Exhibitor of the First ladies ' art circle (1899-1910, with breaks). Participated in exhibitions of the St.-Петербургского society of artists (1897-1911, with interruptions), Autumn exhibition painting in the halls of the Imperial Academy of arts (1907); 1-й traveling exhibition to Siberia in Tomsk (1903). He exposed his works at the world exhibition in Paris (1900). Held a solo exhibition at the Swan (1918). Member of-учредитель Society publications accessible and cheap books (1898).

a Memorial exhibition was held in Sumy (2011).
