From a family of craftsman. In 1875 переехала in Petersburg into the family of his uncle, artist and teacher П. П. Чистякова. Studied drawing and painting under the guidance of П. П. Чистякова. At the same time as an auditor attended classes at the Imperial Academy of arts (1880-1884). In 1885 he received a certificate of completion Professor. In 1890 for his painting "Grandma" was awarded a honorable mention silver medal.

I Lived in St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad). He painted portraits, genre compositions, landscapes; worked in watercolors. Author paintings: "Pose" (1888), "check the king" (1892), "the Nun" (1893), "In separation" (1897) and others.

Participated in exhibitions in the halls of the Imperial Academy of arts (1888-1916, with breaks) and mobile exhibitions of the Academy in Kiev (1888/1889), Kazan (1889); Ladies ' art circle (1889), the Society of Russian watercolorists (Blanc et noir, 1890), 1-й state free exhibition of works of art (1919), Community of artists (1925) in St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad); Moscow society of art lovers (1895/1896); the Society of artists of historical painting in Nizhny Novgorod (1896).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — of the State Tretyakov gallery, State Russian Museum, Science-исследовательский Museum of the Russian Academy of arts.
