«Nostalgia for the Soviet Union» in the Central House of Artists
From 1 to October 8 in room number 16 of the Central House of Artists Russian Art Gallery holds the pre-show collection of paintings «Nostalgia for the Soviet Union».
The upcoming exhibition will be devoted to a bright phenomenon in the domestic arts, like painting the Soviet era. Forming a collection of the auction, the organizers tried to include those works that reflect the lyrical side of Soviet life and reveal the typical images of that time: «Pioneers» ( P. D . Buchkin , 1927), «Sports» (AP Solodovnikov, 1979), «Schoolgirl» ( VA Vasin , 1962), «On the ground» ( GA Goncharov , 1968), «Roses photo Vysotskiy» ( IV Radoman , 1990), «Lost son. School years »(AA Bogomolov, 1948).
Many of the exhibited artworks belong to brush prominent Soviet artists, awarded many prizes and titles. A great collector's rarity represent, in particular, work N. Baskakov , the artist sought not only in the USSR but also in the West, its work stored in the Metropolitan Museum in New York; brothers AP and SP Tkachev - the pioneers of Soviet Impressionism in the 1950's; SA Chuikov , folk artist USSR, the author published in all school textbooks canvases «Daughter of the Soviet Kyrgyzstan»; VI Grigor'eva , in the 1950's the main artist All-Russian agricultural exhibition; AA Rylov , a prominent Russian landscape painter whose works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum, FA Modorova , the People's Artist of Russia, long time head of the leading art university in the Soviet Union - Institute named after VI Surikov.

Summary: On display 75 auction lots of creativity of 70 authors, among which 15 folk artists of the USSR and the People's Artist of USSR 20.
The exhibition will be open from 2 October to 8 October and will end auction, which will take place on 9 October at 20:00 at the hotel «Sovetskiy» (Leningrad avenue, 32 /2). Given the growing interest in Soviet art among Russian businessmen and patrons auction organizers expect to sell 75 percent of the collection, especially since the estimated value of many works set below the market.
