Painter

the Son of state Councilor Prince К. Д. Гагарина. He studied at St-Петербургском University (1905-1910). He was in military service; in the First world war he served in the heavy artillery. After the October revolution emigrated to France. In 1921 as the administrator of the merchant vessel moved to Brazil and settled in Rio-де-Жанейро.

formal artistic education is not received. Worked primarily as a landscape painter. Had a solo exhibition in Rio-де-Жанейро (1922). Participated in the National salon of fine arts in Rio-де-Жанейро (1920-40-е); repeatedly received awards of the salon.

One of the organizers of the Russian public Assembly in Rio-де-Жанейро (1933). Together with the painter Д. В. Измайловичем and sculptor Г. Макуриным organized in Rio-де-Жанейро exhibition "Celebration of soul" (1933).

was close to the avant-garde literary-художественному "paulism" created by the poet Fernando Pessoa. Paulistrom participated in the salon des Beaux arts, where they were awarded minor (1940) and (1941) silver medals. Laureate of the prize of the Prefecture San-Паулу (1944).
