the Son А. С. Залшупина — editor and publisher of the St. Petersburg newspaper "Russian economist" and the illustrated weekly "Life and the court". He studied at the New art workshop in Petrograd at В. И. Шухаева.

In 1921 he emigrated to Berlin. Published portrait sketches in emigrant magazine "Flashes". Collaborated in the Berlin publishing house "Gamayun". Released in it the album of etchings "Portraits of modern Russian writers" (1923), which included portraits А. А. Блока, А. Белого, М. Горького, Б. К. Зайцева, Б. А. Пильняка, А. М. Ремизова, И. С. Шмелева, А. Н. Толстого and others. Created by order of the publisher illustrations for the book "Alice in Wonderland" Л. Кэрролла in translation В. В. Набокова ("Anna in Wonderland"; 1923).

In 1924 he settled in Paris. He painted portraits, landscapes.

Exhibited at the salon d'automne (1924, 1930).
