MALEVSKY-МАЛЕВИЧ Svyatoslav Svyatoslavich

From an aristocratic Russian-польской family; the son of the state Councilor, the business Manager of the "Noble land Bank" Svyatoslav A. Malevsky-Малевича. Studied at the Tenishev school in St. Petersburg, where he gained his first artistic skills.

In 1920 along with his father was evacuated from Feodosiya in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. He studied at don cadet corps, then at the philological faculty of Belgrade University. In 1924 he received a scholarship of Whittemore (American Committee for education of youth in the exite) and entered the physico-математический at the Sorbonne, studied at Н. Бора. In 1928 he returned to Brussels, took Belgian nationality, was appointed head of the Department of scientific documentation of the chemical consortium.

In 1931 and 1939 was one of the organizers of the Congress of Eurasians in Brussels; the member of the Presidium of the Congress in 1939. At the beginning of the Second world war enlisted in the battalion of air defense. After the capitulation of Belgium through France (Dunkirk) moved to England, where he joined the Belgian detachment of the British army. From 1943 — assistant Director of the division of the Belgian Ministry of foreign Affairs in London. In 1945 he was assigned to the Belgian Embassy in Bern, he served in diplomatic missions in Israel.

In 1947 he retired and decided to devote himself to art. In 1956, returned briefly to the service, was first Secretary of the Belgian Embassy in Moscow. Participated in the preparation and holding of the exhibition "From Meunier to Permeke. Belgian art of the late XIX — of the twentieth century" in the Pushkin Museum to them. А. С. Пушкина (1956).

In 1964 he left the painting. Worked as an administrator of the newspaper "Russian thought"; published the book "the USSR today and tomorrow" (Paris, 1972; Preface — А. Г. Авторханова) written materials and the experiences gained in Moscow.

In 1973, died suddenly of a heart attack. A memorial exhibition was held in gallery "Basmadjian" in Paris (1990).
