From the priest's family. She studied at the Yaroslavl theological Seminary (did not graduate); in 1786 he entered the service of a Junior office in Yaroslavl the Orphan's court.

Lived in St. Petersburg. Worked in the techniques of engraving and pencil manner, resorted to the techniques of etching, stipple, aquatint. Mostly portrait and engraving of species. As illustration, book decoration, maps, and drawings to various publications, including: "the Collection of plans of facades and profiles for the construction of stone churches..."
