he Lived in Petrograd (Leningrad). One of the leaders of the Union of art workers (Arabica, 1922-1923). Participated in the design of the city to the revolutionary holidays (1918-1928). he made several creative trips around the country; has performed cycles of works, grouped under the name of "Country Councils": the "Armenian Suite" (1933-1934), "Caucasians" (1934), "Avar Suite" (1936-1937), "Sami Suite" (1936-1937), "Earth" (1950-60-е).
